Yay, you’re here! Welcome.
I bet you want to get to know me a little better – before you consider hiring me. Hey, I don’t blame you. Truth is, I’m an open book. If there’s something you want to ask that I haven’t mentioned here, just give me a shout.
Let’s start with credentials – because you’re probably wondering, is this chick really qualified to help me lose weight? And you have every right to ask that question.
- BS, Biology/Education, Rutgers University

- Certified Personal Trainer, American Council on Exercise

- Board of Directors, LightenUp Fitness
Degrees and certifications may look shiny + impressive, but what truly qualifies me for this work is having gone through my own personal weight loss journey (50+ pounds gone for over 15 years).
This is what I looked like in my 20’s. I stopped getting on the scale, but I can still remember trying to squeeze myself into a pair of size 16 jeans…
As a kiddo + teen, I would come home from school and scarf down a sleeve (or two) of Chips Ahoy or a bag of Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips – or both!
Eating was my go-to coping method for “managing” the overwhelming emotions I was experiencing. The chips + cookies + pizza helped me stuff my feelings deep down – temporarily of course.
Turns out the stuffing it down method didn’t work out so well – hello obesity and an inability to manage difficult emotions without food.
My struggle with emotional overeating and binge eating provided me with a gift – the unique ability to empathize with my clients. I don’t care how many degrees you have…
If you haven’t been down this road, you simply can’t understand what it’s like to be at war with food and your body.
In 1998, I left my home state of New Jersey and headed out West with my husband Brett. We currently live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with our feisty + fabulous 16! year old, adopted cell dog – Hope (lover of chasing rabbits and getting her butt scratched).
After several years as a Recruiter for a large financial services company, I knew the corporate world just wasn’t for me. What I really wanted was to help other women live healthier + more fulfilling lives.
This work and my clients rock my world – every single day. I mean that. I’m from Jersey. We tell it like it is.
There’s a bunch of other stuff I love too – exploring this amazing world (Iceland is magical), snowstorms + snowshoeing, MUSIC – from Rock to Rap to Electronica to Blues, ginger tea, reading, lazy Sundays, Stranger Things + Outlander + Game of Thrones, chocolate truffles, hiking, flip flops, Taos, New Mexico, single malt scotch, Formula 1 Racing, campfires, yoga, changing the color of my hair (purple, red, blonde – oh my)…
I’m a wee bit unconventional – and so is my approach to losing weight. But you know – the whole restrictive yo-yo diet rollercoaster thing isn’t really working for you, is it?

We learned to be patient observers like the owl. We learned cleverness from the crow, and courage from the jay, who will attack an owl ten times its size to drive it off its territory. But above all of them ranked the chickadee – because of its indomitable spirit.

“I would have paid you double what you charge.” ~Carolyn, Texas
“Thank you for your willingness to continue supporting my weight loss, even though our sessions have officially ended. Although we won’t be checking in regularly anymore, I don’t feel like I’m suddenly on my own. You are amazing.
Thank you for providing such an incredible service and for being the kind of person to put me at ease and gently guide me on my path back to self-fulfillment. Your support has pulled me out of a rut that I experienced for several years and for that I am truly thankful. It was a higher power that guided me to you and now I am able to live my life more fully and combat the negative self-talk that was so destructive before.
I truly believe, without reservations, that I will lose this weight and that anything is possible for me with my business and growth as a person. That is HUGE!” ~Vanessa, Minnesota
“God brought me an angel and friend that I’ve been waiting for all wrapped up in one spunky package named Robyn! I’ve lost 20 pounds and still have a ways to go – but I feel like for the first time in my life, it could actually happen. I can change my life to whatever I want.” UPDATE: 28# gone and still moving down the scale. ~Toni, Colorado
“Thank you for everything you do. You are helping people find the beauty in life and start living! For some of us, this is the first time we have truly lived!” ~Gayle, Georgia
“I have lost 23 pounds! It’s wonderful to feel healthier and have more energy. It’s also great to feel those clothes getting bigger and bigger too. Thanks again for doing the work you do, and for your patience, enthusiasm and kindness. I can’t begin to tell you how thankful I am for the knowledge I gained with you.” ~Diane, Indiana
“Thank you for doing this work, Robyn. I can’t tell you how important you have been to me. Always remember that you’re not just a weight loss coach – you help people end their suffering. It’s a very. big. deal.” ~Sheila, California
“I just wanted to say thank you for our sessions almost a year ago now. I’ve learned more about myself through the process and actually like who I am now. I don’t look at my body in the mirror with disgust anymore, but with hope. I’ve lost 17 pounds since then and hope to finally be the person inside and out that I want to be.” ~Krista, New Mexico
